quidkidconfessions:

There are certain quidkids on tumblr that annoy the crap out of me. I understand that they have their opinions but I think so many people just don’t understand what it takes to run something as big as the IQA. Such as people complaining about the price of the jerseys….

Not to mention that they’re supposed to help fundraise for Our friends and fellow players getting an amazing opportunity. I think it’s definitely fair.

Lately Harry (top) and Jimmy (bottom) have started this thing where, while everyone’s brooms are down and eyes are closed, they spin around their brooms and only stop at “brooms up!” They then try to run towards the balls at the center of the field. What usually ensues is a montage of zig-zagging, stumbling, and sometimes falling. Additionally, it adds to the light-hearted atmosphere of practice. For reals.

I’m actually furious about Middlebury’s last minute decision (they submitted a full roster) to only send nine players and basically none of their starters. You aren’t fooling anyone with your attempt to send a weaker squad so you can make excuses for your already inevitable loss. This is a…

BOSTON UNIVERSITY

KEDZIE TELLER is Boston’s most skilled Chaser. He’s one of the quickest players that’ll be at the tournament, and he brilliantly leads his teams fast-paced and strategic offense. KATRINA BOSSOTTI adds a unique defensive touch to the team, strongly defending and only…

The Shell Shocking Spectacular was a pretty amazing experience.  The fact that I couldn’t play and still was able to do so much really really made it super special.

Starting off, I had some of the players from the NY Badassilisks stay over at my apartment the night before and I finally was able to meet Jess!  And that was just the beginning.

I got to Cole Field House at 8 am and set up our super awesome merch table, where we sold our shirts, tournament shirts, and some awesome merch from the Badassilisks and Rochester.  We also had some of Linda’s amazing crafts and I got to hang out with her a lot throughout the day at the table (though my excitement kept me from staying in one place for too long).  I got one of Linda’s beautifully hand-painted wands, which I’ll post a picture of later.

I got to scorekeep a ton and even goal ref one game, which I love.  I got to announce one game which was kind of scary because I didn’t know what to say, but hopefully I wasn’t too boring.  But of course, my favorite part of the day was being able to cheer on my incredible team throughout the day, all the way to their clutch victory in the finals against Hofstra.

Sarah, Logan, Deanna, and everyone else who helped to make this tournament as amazing as it was, I love you. You are perfect. Don’t ever change. <3
